BECAUSE YOU MATTER

OUR COMMITMENT

The national health care emergency created by COVID-19, has not deterred our focus to make sure every student reaches his/her optimal potential while learning in a fun and engaging way. The worldwide pandemic has definitely altered methods to learning throughout, yet Extra Mile Tutoring stands to help each student stay on track. We have set forth new guidelines to do our part:

  • Protect our students and clients – Requiring tutors to wear masks for in-person tutoring sessions.

  • Maintain confidence in uncertain times - Open and transparent communication.

  • Putting students first - Offering virtual tutoring sessions.

BECAUSE WE ALL MATTER

Self-Report: Clients and students are encouraged to self-report if they or someone they have been in contact with is diagnosed with COVID-19. This will allow for precautionary steps to be taken and others to be notified in case a quarantine period is necessary. In addition, E.M.T. is asking all clients to email info@extramiletutoring.com if symptoms present 72 hours after a tutoring session for anyone in your household which will all tutors to take any necessary precautionary measures.

Face Mask: Please feel free to wear your own face mask should you feel it is necessary. All Extra Mile Tutors will wear a face mask as recommended by the CDC. According to the CDC, you could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.  The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected.

Health Screenings: According to the CDC: Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. This list is not all the possible symptoms. Please call your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning to you. Learn More +

Temperatures: Strongly recommend everyone who is present for a tutoring session to self-administer temperatures to their household prior to sessions.  Should anyone have an elevated temperature of 100.4 the CDC recommends you stay home and call a healthcare provider if you have symptoms.
