Anne Huegel was born and raised in Roswell, Georgia.  She currently resides with her husband and daughter in Tucker, Georgia.  Anne attended Valdosta State University from 2009-2013, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  After college, Anne taught at an elementary school in Dunwoody, Georgia.  Anne continued teaching at the same school for a total of ten years, where she taught first and second grades.  In 2020, Anne earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from her alma mater.  Anne also has her gifted and reading endorsements, and is Orton-Gillingham trained.

Anne’s ten years of classroom experience  has molded her into the teacher she is today.  Her philosophy of teaching and learning  is that all students are unique and deserve a stimulating environment where they can grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially.  It is her goal that all students achieve this through careful planning, differentiation to fit every learning style, and effective collaboration with all stakeholders.  Anne provides a safe, nurturing, and loving learning environment where all students feel supported. 

Anne is thrilled to be a part of the Extra Mile Tutoring team, where she can focus on student’s learning needs one-on-one.  She is looking forward to continuing to make an impact on the lives of students!
