Anne has been working in Education for over 25 years, both in Dekalb and in Gwinnett County. She is a Certified Special Education teacher for Pre-K through 8th grade. Anne has received professional training in the Orton-Gillingham approach and was on the Advisory Council of Stem for Every Child. Anne created and directs Camp Read and Roam, a summer camp that combined a novel study with direct guided reading, and daily field trips related to the content of the novel. She has taught both general and special education students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. Teaching is a lifelong passion for Anne; she has a fun, consistent and gentle approach to teaching her students. Anne’s teaching style uses multi-sensory strategies to help all students reach their greatest potential. Anne has been with Extra Mile Tutoring since 2021.
