At Extra Mile Tutoring, we believe learning should be active, engaging, and—above all—fun. One of our talented tutors, Ms. Anne H, recently took a classic game and gave it a brilliant educational twist: Jenga + 2-digit addition with regrouping!

Here’s how it works:
Each Jenga block is labeled with a 2-digit number. As the student pulls a block, they must add that number to a running total, practicing their addition skills—including regrouping—along the way. It’s math in motion, combining strategy, fine motor skills, and mental computation.

This type of hands-on learning transforms abstract math concepts into something students can touch, see, and enjoy. It also encourages them to stay focused and excited as they practice skills that are essential to their academic success.
