Emily Lynch was raised in Macon, Georgia and moved to the Atlanta area in 2022. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Mercer University in 2020, where she began her teaching career. Emily started in Bibb County, teaching kindergarten for two years and giving back to the same public school system she attended growing up.
Since moving to Forsyth County Schools, Emily has taught first grade for three years and recently completed her first year teaching second grade. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of West Georgia, an ESOL endorsement, and is currently pursuing her Specialist degree, expected in December 2026.
Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of students, including students with disabilities and multilingual learners. While she enjoys teaching all subjects, her passion is reading instruction. She loves using multisensory, engaging approaches to teach students foundational literacy skills.
Emily believes that every child is capable of success when given the right support and opportunities. She is passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel confident and safe. She is excited to join Extra Mile Tutoring to continue building meaningful relationships with children and support them as they grow.
She currently lives in Brookhaven, Georgia. In her free time, you can find her reading, exercising, or spending time with friends and her golden retriever, Lilly.
Emily has been with Extra Mile Tutoring since 2026.
