Born and raised in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Shana McCombs is a passionate educator. A proud graduate of Kentucky State University, Shana McCombs served in student leadership roles, including being crowned Miss Kentucky State University for the 2011–2012 academic year, where she discovered her passion for mentorship and advocacy. She later earned her MBA from Sullivan University and has continued to invest in her professional growth through a career in education. In May 2025, Shana earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Middle Georgia State University, further solidifying her commitment to empowering students and fostering academic excellence. McCombs currently works for the DeKalb County School District as an 8th grade math teacher and is certified to teach grades 4–8 in mathematics. She is looking forward to tutoring with Extra Mile Tutoring because she is passionate about education and helping the next generation thrive. Shana has been with Extra Mile Tutoring since 2025.
